I bought these to change up from my Ernie Ball Power Slinky Nickle Wound set (.011 - .048). I used the Power Slinky strings for about 4/5 months but the more I use them the more I despised the .018P top string. It's too thick for the rest of the set (.011, .014, *.018p*, .028, .038, .048) This set gives me a heavier chunk on my bottom strings (.052-.030 and a lighter feel on… read more my top strings .017, .013, .010). This is pretty much what I want as a mostly detuned (D drop C) player on a Gibson Les Paul or my Gibson SG. If you enjoy playing power chords in dropped tuning and want a lighter set of top strings this is a nice set.
