A+
I have been playing guitar since 1981, I have tried just about every set of strings you can imagine. At one point all I used was ghs Boomers, decided to give these a try. Hands down these are the best sounding, loudest strings I have ever used! And after putting them on and jamming for about 15 minutes they are stretched and don't lose tuning! What's not to like, yeah they're a… read more bit pricey but you get what you pay for! I WON'T USE ANYTHING ELSE!
Awesome!
The high E broke on my Ltd ec401fr. So these are the replacements. I think the 401fr came with Dunlop NPS 9s? Anyway, the Dunlops stayed in E standard, which was okay. Sounded great, but I'm getting faster and lighter in my picking attack. And...….. pop! Just got these M-Steels to try something new. Now my 401fr is in my desired tuning, D standard and they sound similar, but better… read more than the Dunlops. Similar to the high end, through a Spider V 30w, but chunkier on the low end, which gives the D standard a bit more of a bite and still have that desirable high end. Pricey, but may just be my go-to, in the future.
Best strings I have ever used
I've been playing guitar for over 12 years, used all the big string brands you can think of, & have never used anything that has been more reliable than these. I don't understand how some people gave these bad reviews, I've been using these since they released & have yet to have a bad experience with them. Not only are they the best sounding strings Ive ever used, but they last… read more longer than any other string I've used. I have a 2014 Gibson SG that I put these on right when I got it of april that year, & they just recently started sounding dull. Before these I was changing all my strings at least monthly, but now I usually only have to one or twice a year. Now again I don't gig with them, but they get a lot of use in my home studio.
Best set of M-Steel's I have tried yet!
I still do not know what makes the M-Steel strings different than other strings save for these are very hard to break. They do not take forever to stretch the slack out of when installing a fresh set of these either. I am a big fan of these!
Great strings for drop tunings
These strings are great for drop B, dont listen to the other reviews those people are idiots who tried to use this for standard tuning, I use drop B for metal and they sound great in that tuning
