I just strung up my American Pro 2 HSS Strat with M-Steels and I am quite impressed. They really do stay in tune right off the bat for the most part as others have stated. The wound strings are a bit rough feeling, something I would describe as a more refined Rotosound type of string but I like that feel. Excellent if you like pick scratches, but go easy on the fret wires with… read more these. The part that I wasn't expecting that I really like about these strings is their presence and feel. Bends feel wonderful, best that I've ever felt by far, really easy on the fingers, but very responsive, and not digging in. I've never felt anything like that before. The excellent presence of these strings is very apparent on the lower strings but consistent across all 6. Maybe these sound a little brighter (yet somehow darker at the same time), perhaps more 'pronounced' is a better word and perhaps a bit louder and forgiving then other strings that I've used. If you don't hit that chord exactly right, these strings won't make you pay a high price for it. I had a coupon from my payment processor, so I ended up getting 3 packs of the 9-46 M-Steels for a little under $10 each. I'm real stoked about that. I will be buying more in the future as these are a keeper. There is no doubt in my mind that these are the best strings that I've ever used and I've had about every brand and size that you can think of.

These strings are brighter and more resonant than any other. I have tried numerous types of strings and these are as advertised with more tone. Why wouldn't you want more tone from your strings?
Best set of M-Steel's I have tried yet!

I still do not know what makes the M-Steel strings different than other strings save for these are very hard to break. They do not take forever to stretch the slack out of when installing a fresh set of these either. I am a big fan of these!
