Super(b) Bullets
I knew about bullets for years but never really tried them. After getting my Strat, I decided to give them a shot. I've used D'Addarios in the past (very good), moved to Ernie Balls when I got my Les Paul (better feel and tone), so I have pretty high expectations for strings. I used D'Addario ball-end strings in my Strat when I got it and didn't like what it offered - gave a bit… read more of an annoying vibration in the trem when playing that drove me crazy. When I installed the Fender Super bullets, I noticed the resonance had increased some and the annoying vibration disappeared. I guess the bullet end concept really isn't too much hype after all - makes sense to have maximum surface area at the string anchor point in a bridge design like that. Just a tiny bit rougher in feel that my Ernie Balls, but only so much that it's a non-issue for me, and the tone is nice and bright but not brittle. I've only had these strings on for a little while, so the jury is still out on longevity and consistency in quality; but, so far so good!
Tried All the Best Sellers
I wanted a set of strings that would be comfortable because I play a couple of hours a day. I wanted them to have good sounds with sustain and I didn't want wound strings that squeaked. I know squeaking has to do with the player. I tried all 4 other manufacturers that are listed as the best of 2019 and found these to be exactly what I was looking for. Comfortable, fun to play… read more and great sound. I will be throwing the others away and keeping the Super bullets.
I have experimented with a lot of strings
I have tried many brands of strings. I had though that I found my brand with D’Addario NYXL’s. They advertised extended life, superior tuning and louder strings. They did not falsely advertise. I decided to try the Bullets however because I was interested in what they would do. It turned out that I liked them even more than the NYXL’s. The bullet shaped ends are genius. The… read more guitar sounds louder acoustically, they have long life, and I am experiencing improved tuning stability even with tremolo use. These are now my preferred strings for my Strat.
Best Strings
The best strings for my Strat And Tele, I have used. I always used too swear by the Ernie Ball Super Slinky's, until I got a couple of sets that sounded dull and lifeless, Love the brightness and tone of the Fender strings and the bullet ends. Thanks again too Fender for making a great product as always.
Love these Strings
I love the bright sound of these strings on my Fender Strat. Good playability. Very stable in tuning once they are stretched. Worth the money.
