Ideal for a Strat

Despite my setup tech's (so far, every setup tech's) tendency to be surprised at this choice of strings, few strings sound better to me on my Strat than Super Bullets (I've been using them on Strats and Strat copies since the 80s). The bullet ends do seem to add a bit of sustain; and they also make the annoying little rattle that one occasionally gets on the high-e and high-b (when… read more poorly seating the ball in a Strat's tremolo block) impossible. My other guitars have their other strings, but the Strats just seem to love the bullets. The only gripe I have is that they aren't more popular; and consequently, every so often I end up with an old set that might have been laying around for a few years-or-decades (DOA - a bit of tell-tale tarnish is the giveaway). My guess is that if you've seen poor reviews of these strings' quality or durability, you're reading the review of a player who unluckily received an dusty ole DOA set -- something that I doubt would ever happen while doing business with Sweetwater.

I was recommended to use these on my Variax guitar. I gave them a try and was very surprised on how well these strings are. Bright, stays in tune and long lasting!

As the title implies, Super Bullets have never let me down for staying in tune and rarely ever been broken at practice or during a gig. I have used them since they came out on all my guitars and the bullet end has just gotten better designed with time. The .009 light gauge bends effortlessly but the .010 regulars can also stretch pretty well and stay in tune. Very good price… read more at Sweetwater, too!
