My quandary was how to balance great protection and light weight. I love the protection of hard cases, but I wanted the light weight and carrying straps of a gig bag. My Sweetwater sales engineer, Erik Molenaar suggested this Epilight. It is perfect! This is serious protection! There is nothing flimsy about it. And if you have to do a lot of walking, you will appreciate the straps. If you have a 339-style or Casino Coupe, read the other reviews and trust Sweetwater.

This is an outstanding case for my Epiphone ES-339. It's well made, has nice storage for sheet music, strings, etc. and is plush lined. It's very well padded and lighter than the hard shell case... it's also cheaper than the hard case! I can tell that it was brand spanking new as it was a VERY snug fit for the guitar. I showed up at Sweetwater on the morning of the 16th of January. I met a sales engineer named Greg Baum. I told him I was going to purchase a guitar & all the trimmings.We got down to the case and I stated I would like to get a hard shell case and he informed me they had "sold out of the Epiphone hard shell cases but he would like to show me a different case.
