Protect the Ones you Love

I'm not about to start bashing factory cases, but I have a Taylor 614, Martin HD28, Gibson Hummingbird, and a Furch Red Masters and I have 2 of these cases to protect them when I'm traveling. These things are heavy as hell and built like a Tank, but I NEVER worry about my guitars while they're safe inside. Let's be real, if you're reading this review, it's because you have a beautiful read more guitar you want to protect. Guitars are very expensive and if you own a classic, they only appreciate in value, so why not protect your investment with insurance? My guitars are family heirlooms that I hope to pass along to my kids someday. You cannot go wrong with this case. I will say one thing though if you're considering purchasing this case the tan version does hold it looks a little better (the black really shows scuffs). Rock On Compadres!!

I love the rich, smooth sound and lower end of a baritone guitar, and the BT240 is just what I was looking for! Great projection unplugged and sound great with my Acoustic A20 amp!

Just recently got a Taylor 324ce, and was in need of a case good enough to stand the beating from the airline bagging crews. Well I have to say I started my trip with my recording king 328 which was something I picked up as a present for my grandpa. Not as expensive piece of equipment but it was still really important for me to keep it safe. After being lost, beat up and most likely read more tossed around it showed up safe and sound. I feel totally at ease now putting my Taylor in it and checking at the counter or the gate whichever you prefer. This is the best budget all around case that WILL keep your guitar safe, in tune and ready to play! Plus there is so much room inside for electonrics, straps, little stands, parts, strings etc… don't wait and get this case if your traveling!

I bought this case to send a Martin guitar to my son in the middle east. The guitar was sent as checked baggage with a person who was visiting my son. The sales staff at Sweetwater was amazing! The shipping was super fast! I bought the case late Friday evening and received the case on Monday. The case did its job (a bit dinged and scuffed up) but the guitar arrived safely to read more my son. It is a very heavy case, but it will protect the guitar as advertised.

The case you need

I love this case so much! I'm circling back to leave a review after putting this case through its paces. I found out about this case when opening for some larger acts on their fly out dates. They were keen on using these cases for their expensive guitars. I've heard of people using this case for endless dates and many flights with never an issue. I was interested in getting read more this tan one in particular for traveling cross country with my Martin M-18 (perfect fit btw). There we're times in between hotels and obligations that I needed to leave my guitar in the hot car. Tan is cooler than black. I grabbed this case as in theory, it would keep my guitar cooler then if i used a black case (Pedaltrain uses grey cases for this same reason). I just got back from a fly-out date. The guitar was checking into four planes. I watched packager handlers on United be pretty rough with the case tossing and dropping it carelessly. My guitar is completely fine. The good and the bad about flying with the case: Bad: everyone thinks it's a gun good: everyone thinks it's a gun The case looks like a TSA riffle case (understandably so). You'll get some weird looks when checking in. This also means that that once the guitar is checked everyone handling it feels a heightened sense of liability to take care of the case. It's usually the last item to board the plane. After every flight, the baggage handlers will walk the guitar out to you and hand it to you (because they wont leave a gun on the baggage carousel). While it will be the last bag to come out it's really nice to know that it's being handled with a watchful eye. The case has SO much storage space in it. I'm thinking about getting and electric case too and just putting a few pedals in it for fly outdates with the band. Yes it is a little heavy but the trade offs are worth it. Even if you're traveling or staying at home, the sealed case acts like a mirco-climate letting you keep humidity under control. The tan helps keep the case cooler. The protection is unmatched unless you're getting a custom case made. It's worth also mentioning. SKB is like Sweetwater with their customer service. They're really good at having your back.
