Perfect Fit

Although this item was a floor model, it looks new to me, and was shipped in the original box. Super high quality construction, stout as heck, and I really like the dark chocolate color. Gorgeous Classical Guitar Protection

This Takamine labeled case is a gem. Manufactured in Canada by TKL, it is a top-grade case with plenty of plush padding and is a perfect fit for my prized and newly acquired 1979 Sumio Kurosawa Madrid No. 15, a concert-grade classical guitar (which came in a sub-standard and ill-fitting case). I don't recall the posting on Sweetwater mentioning TKL, but it would have been an important… read more selling point to me. My 2020 José Ramírez Guitarra del Tiempo came in a TKL case and it's been well protected. Once again, I couldn't be happier purchasing from Sweetwater (and enjoying my candy as I write this). The highest quality a case can be

I bought this case for my Takamine gy93e New Yorker guitar. Took a small risk in not knowing for sure that it would fit the case, but it is the perfect size for this guitar—I was able to cross reference the model number of this case to a very similar model number on the official takamine website, so I was fairly certain that it was going to be the right fit for the New Yorker… read more style guitar. As for the quality, it is just immaculate. It’s definitely the highest quality I have ever seen from a traditional wood case. The interior is an awesome wine red color, and super plush with LOTS of padding. The handle is also really thick and feels really strong and durable for the long run. Most cases fall short on the handle strength, but this one is gonna hold for a very long time. I was hesitant to spend this much on a case, but after seeing the reviews of the more basic case that takamine makes, I didn’t want to risk spending less for a case that would likely not last as long or give proper protection for my guitar through the frequent loading and unloading from my car. I also want to point out that this is an upgrade for me from the takamine gig bag that came with my guitar. I liked the portability of the gig bag with the backpack straps, but I was always super worried about my guitar getting messed up inside the bag when I loaded it in and out of my car—it was almost always out of tune when I got it out of the bag due to the tuners being pushed up on the sides of the bag. Overall, if you can afford the higher price tag, you should absolutely go for this case. Seriously...best case I’ve ever seen.
