Great pickup
This a great pickup, Bought as a replacement for a guitar with lesser electronics in it. Really spiced up the guitar. Always happy with Sweetwater service as well.
The fix I needed
I have a 2013 Gibson Les Paul Sig. T that I bought from Sweetwater on 10-16-13.The guitar was great in most ways, it came with the 57 and 57+ pickups that just didn't have the heat I wanted. I had to push the Marshall amp to high gain to almost satisfy my needs.I did enjoy the clean sound of the 57's and didn't want to loose that tone, I was afraid that the 498T may be to hot.I… read more found that the 498T answered all of my needs by way of heat and awesome cleans as well.I now can back off the gain on the amp and get very powerful tones that are articulated and very controllable with the heat that I wanted and cleans that shimmer. This is a perfect combo of both worlds.
Amazing low output humbucker
I have a Gibson SG with one of these in the bridge possion. WOW its such a dynamic Humbucker, you can here every string !!!! It has a wide range of tones anything from Jazz to Heavy Rock, and is very easy to EQ. If you are looking for a low output pickup try a guitar with one of these bad boys.
Really versatile
I built my own less Paul clone, and I put this in the bridge, the sound is just what I was looking for. You can't go wrong with
