I recently bought a 1985 Washburn HB35S semi-hollow body guitar. I'm a loyal Fender/Martin/Gibson guy, but made an exception for this particular guitar. It has a perfect neck and pristine frets (must've sat in a closet for years). After a few tweaks of the truss rod, the guitar is a dream to play. The only thing I didn't love about the guitar was the tone...so I bought a set of… read more these, and after a simple 15 minute install, the guitar went from sounding pretty good to tasty. Both pups have great tone, break up beautifully under pick attack, and play really well with overdrive pedals.
