Great pickup.
Replaced a stock Epiphone SG pickup with this and the difference is night and day. Should have done it a long time ago. Now I need a new one for the neck.
What I was looking for !
I have 2007 Gibson Explorer Pro that had the original 496R and 500T pickups. For some reason they were too bright, almost brittle sounding. I replaced them with EVH Wolfgangs. Then we were too dark sounding on the mahogany body. Finally, I decided to use the same combo in my Les Paul. I couldn't be happier with the service from Sweetwater. The only downside is they are pricey. I also have a set of Seymour Duncan 59's in a SG that are almost identical in tone to the Gibson 57s and they are half the price. I think the combos are trial and error until you find what suits your taste.
Classic 57 pickup
The classic 57 delivers a smooth bite, with no hype,It is a little dark but in a great way, plenty of mojo punch when neededI would recommend these to any level of players
