First off, if you only play heavy metal with tons of gain I'd recommend saving your money and look elsewhere. BUT..If you play heavy metal, and rock, classic rock, blues, country, etc. then I highly recommend these pickups. Extremely articulate and full of PAF chime and chirp. So smooth and buttery. Split coil sounds great also. These pickups are more top ended than midrange which… read more really stands out. Not harsh or brittle, super chimey and bell like. I have a pair of these in one PRS Satin and a set of 59/09 in the other. The 59/09 are a tad more aggressive in the lower mids and bass than the 57/08. Not by much but there's a difference.

I replaced the stock Mira pickups in a limited edition PRS KL-33 with these pickups. It tamed the brightness and added a nice thick PAF sound without being muddy. Super range of sounds with the guitar tone knobs alone. Really great pickups.

I have an s2 custom 24 that I found myself not picking up as much. So I decided to make the move and upgrade the pickups. Holy cow what a great choice that was! These things are everything I'd hoped plus so much more. Sounds great clean and dirty. Super crisp and respond to your touch perfectly.
