BLAM !!
i've wanted to try these for years, now that i have i ask myself, what took me so long ? fantastic pickups, get ya some..
An Amazing Set
These, "Pick-ups", are an Amazing set. Great sounding and ring like a bell. Both, neck and bridge make up a sound like, I've never heard before. These are the best sounding, Pups, I have ever heard! Unlike any and or many I've ever bought. These also sound great with the, Bumble Bee Caps. You will be happy to have these...Thanks Sweetwater and Have a Healthy and Happy New Year!!!
Wow!!
Just put a set of these into my workhorse 2012 Epi Pelham blue SG and I am absolutely knocked out! The stock pickups were not bad by any means, but these pickups really kicked it up to 11. Very powerful but what struck me most was how unbelievably clear they sound, especially for humbuckers! I really can't say enough how happy I am with this purchase, and everything about the pickups… read more themselves just screams high quality. Will definitely be going with Mojotone for future pickup upgrades! And of course as always Sweetwater and my man Ben Robinson went the extra mile in excellent customer service
What an upgrade.
I had an Epiphone Les Paul that was a project guitar. I’ve made some changes, and after doing those, I noticed the pickups were not nearly as good as I at first thought. I researched a lot and went with the Mojotone 59’s for the reputation of the company, and also the leaning towards me wanting a vintage PAF style humbucker. Lots of the Seymour Duncan’s I looked at seemed… read more too hot particularly on the bridge. These Clone ‘59s just sound beautiful. The description says they sound vintage and chime, and they do ring out clear as a bell and you can hear every note in chords, great output and clear with drive. I spent quite a while adjusting them and they now blow me away. Know they should be obviously better than the stock epiphone ones, but the difference is completely night and day. I highly recommend these to someone who is looking for something as an alternative to the usual Seymour Duncan’s or Di Marzios. If I made another, or modded another guitar I wouldn’t hesitate at all to look at MojoTone Pickups first. Worth every penny. $350 total in the guitar, and it’s mostly the... pickups that make it sound like a $1000+ Gibson. Thanks Mojotone and Sweetwater for turning my cheap guitar into a pleasure to play and a pure joy.
Great authentic sounding PAF pickups.
If you are looking for a great quality PAF then you should give these PUP's a try. I have in my guitars used stock Gibson's, Gibson Classic 57 and 57+, Seymour Duncans PAF, JB, and Pearly Gates, and Lindy Frailin's. The Mojo PAF sound as good and better in a lot of cases. I put the 3 sets I purchased from Sweetwater into my PRS SE Custom 24's and PRS SE Custom 22 Hollow and wow… read more what a difference. The stock pup's in the PRS was just too hot and grungy for my taste. I wanted more frequency response and i got that with these. They are very well balanced between the neck and bridge. Just a note that in the PRS SE's the 4 conductor coil tap is eliminated when using these PUP's. If I want a single coil sound then I go for a single coil guitar like a strat or tele so it was not a big deal for me. They use vintage type parts so that includes the cable. They are as close to the originals as you can get. Handmade in NC and use the highest quality parts. I remember these PUP's winning a PAF shootout comparison in one of the magazines a couple of years ago and I am sure you can find the article on the internet. Try them as Mojo gives a tone guarantee with the pups and Sweetwater will not let you go unhappy either.
