Very nice capo
It works great and is much less obtrusive than clamp-on style capos. It pulls the strings straight down without bending them.
Finally
I've probably purchased every brand of Capo from Dunlop to G7 to Kyser a D'Addario. I could never get rid f that "snap" you get when really bearing down on an Acoustic in either case of rhythm or lead. This capo does it. This is the first day I've tried it but it's working so well, I have a list of tracks I have to re-record. So far, so good. I bought the one for electric and will… read more be trying that out today as well. The next review will be on how long these plastic sleeves last...
My favorite acoustic capo
I've had a Kyser capo for decades and wanted to try some different ones. Tested this one along with the Kyser, Shubb Deluxe, and G7th Ultralight. This is my new favorite capo for acoustic. Fairly easy to get into place, holds the strings well without putting too much pressure on the strings (like the Kyser), guitar stays in tune, and being able to park it behind the nut is very… read more convenient. The only time I take the capo off the guitar is when I'm changing strings.
Your guitar stays in tune.
Have used this capo for a couple of years now. Don"t use this, if you like playing in tune. Very slim profile. Has held up to a lot of use. It"s amazing how many people complain how their guitar won"t stay in tune when they capo it. But won"t try using the Paige. They can"t seem to get passed "all I have to do with mine is squeeze it and I"m ready to go." Yeah out of tune I own… read more a good many higher priced capo"s and they just sit in my music room. So if you like playing in tune when capo"ed buy one of these.
Not for Fat Vintage V-Necks
Great lightweight design but not meant for fat vintage v-necks. Purchased for a 1920's Stromberg Voisinet Parlor Guitar and could barely get it to clamp shut on the fret board. With that said, it works great on my modern guitars. Slide it back over the nut and you don't even realize it's there. I would definitely purchase another one.
