Not too good.
For some reason the low E string always sounds out of tune. At first these strings very incredibly loud with pretty good tone but after a maybe 15 hours of practice (about 3 days for me), they became more quiet and the tone quality dropped as well. the low e always sounded off and it was hard to enjoy playing like that.
These strings sound great on my guitar.
A few years ago a bought a Eastman guitar. It sounded really great, the best in the store. Not an expensive model either. These cleartones are the strings that it came set up from the factory with, so I stuck with these strings since the intonation was spot on and the tone was killer.
A better treated string
These are the best
Longest lasting strings
I'm thoroughly impressed with these strings. They're by far the longest lasting strings I have ever used. They bend so well, I hardly ever have to change them, and they sound beautiful. What more can I ask for?
Not what I expected
I replace a set of elixir poly web 12s on my taylor gs mini with these. The whole feel of my guitar went out the window. My fingers HURT and were left with marks and lines. What would these strings do to my frets? They seem like high tension strings and had little to no give or bending ability. I'm taking them off immediately and putting on a new set of elixirs. However they are… read more very bright and loud sounding, no doubt they are what they say. I think these strings would be great on a lap steel or dobro.
