I bought a Les Paul and loved the strings that were on it. I did a little research and to my knowledge, these are the OEM strings that Gibson puts on most of their guitars. Excellent tone and tuning, last forever. I play everyday and my first set of Cleartones lasted over a year. The other nice thing, these string don't rust. I used to play D'Addarios but those strings tend to rust after awhile, causing slight rust damage to my floyd rose. I will never go back to non-coated strings. Been using a variety of plain nickel wound strings for years. I've tried a few of the cryogenic and cobalt which are great but expensive and unless you have stainless steel frets...lookout with that.
