Nothing more to say, the Alnico Blue...that´s the difference with the C2. And the fact that the amp has 4 El84 on 30W...Excellent sound and grit!

I used to have an ac15c2 with Greenbacks. Now, it sounded pretty good, but I always found myself using an eq pedal to scoop some of the muddiness out of the low mids. After years of different amps, I finally took the dive back into Vox amps, and I can decisively say that one hasn't really witnessed the full vox tone without the Alnico Blues.

The Vox AC30c2x is an amazing amplifier! It has that classic Vox shimmer and chime. The clean sounds are to die for; and overdriven tones have that inimitable brassy, throaty roar that can only come from a Vox amp. The AC30 also takes pedals well, especially the Proco Rat. This has always been my dream amp ... And now I can stop dreaming and start playing!

I was lucky in 1965 to listen to my older brothers friend play his Fender Jag on a Vox amp. He had one just like the Beatles had (taller than me) in a back bedroom of his house. My ears are still ringing. Fast forward to 2017, I bought this Vox for myself. It sounds amazing just like the one I heard over 50 years ago. The only complaint I get is from the neighbors. I crank up the… read more volume on this amp to hear the sweet smooth sound it makes. My whole house rocks and rolls now.
