Great amp at a great price

Well, I received my amp earlier today and have been playing with it since arrival. Well packaged for shipment and arrived with no issues. Unboxed it and plugged it in. Pure, clean, crisp acoustic sound. I have several acoustic-electrics; Yamaha 12 string and then 6 strings from Fender, Ovation, and Harley-Benton. Also a combination of preamped and sound hole pickup types. read more All played well through this amp. To be honest, it's better than I expected. Love the two input set up on it. I brought a friend over to help me out and we both plugged in (remember, two inputs) and we didn't lose a beat. (If it means anything we did it both cabled and wireless through my small Xviv wireless transmitter/receiver pair. We traded off on cable vs wireless and neither of us saw any issues.) The only thing I have not done is hooked up a mic to it, but I suspect that will be just fine. I normally put the amp EQ at 12 o'clock and work off of the guitar preamps, but to test it used the amp's onboard EQ. No problems that I can see at all. Love the onboard reverb... only missing items (my personal opinion, only) is that it didn't have an onboard chorus. (Hooked my cheapie chorus pedal into it and it sounded fine, too.) Overall a great value. Nice looking brown Tolex covering. The knobs are good sized and responsive and I didn't notice any "play" in them as I have with a few other brands. Thanks to Jason for helping me out and getting this to me in a timely fashion. Another homerun for Fender and Sweetwater.

Awesome Amp

I thought this amp looked great but it totally exceeded my hopes. I've never seen inputs that accept XLR & quarter inch but this works great. And there are 2 channels so you can play and sing or have 2 singers, etc. It improves my sound with reverb individually on both channels. It's loud enough to keep up with our band and it's light enough to carry every where. The aux.in read more plays music from my phone while I play and sing. I highly recommend this amp!

Good amp

This amp is super bright and great smooth clean tones. It's small but works great lined out and used as a monitor. For the money, you can't beat it.

Powerful and Great Sounding Amp for Acoustic Guitars!

I just purchased this item recently. I'm a singer-songwriter and currently travel between two living locations where I keep different acoustic-electric guitars so I don't have to fly with a guitar every time. I already had a Fishman Loudbox Mini which I absolutely love, an amazing amp! However when I decided to get an amp for my other location I wanted to try something different read more since eventually I will be living in just one of those locations. It seemed to make more sense to have two different amps, that might offer slightly different sounds, than just duplicating gear.I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be as happy with the Fender Acoustasonic 40 as I am with my Fishman Loudbox Mini but within 10 minutes of turning on the Fender, I was able to dial in a sound that was exactly what I wanted. I think the key was to alternate between the pure acoustic sound of my guitar and making small tweaks to match it as closely as possible (which is always a bit of a compromise with an under saddle pickup). My girlfriend, who is also a professional musician, whose ears are extremely sensitive to tone, couldn't believe how great my guitar sounded through the Acoustasonic. That definitely verified what I was hearing as well (that I wasn't imagining that it sounded as good as I thought). When I ordered the amp I also ordered a Behringer UC200 Chorus pedal, and that with the hall reverb on the Acoustasonic, provides me with the same effects choices as the Fishman. I actually like having the ability to have more control over the chorus parameters plus the ease of being able to turn the chorus on and off with my foot while I play as needed, so what seemed like a negative (not having a built in chorus) actually became a positive of sorts. This is my second experience working with Sweetwater, my Sales Engineer Andy Scheer once again provided the best possible customer service, and they definitely have a customer for life!:)
