High quality circuit. Wide range of sounds.

I play this pedal in the effects loop of a Marshall Origin Combo 20W, 30% preamp gain (boost on), 70% master. Guitar is a Fender Strat US Performer. This is an impressive digital pedal that cooperates well with the other units in the rig (univibe and analog delay also in the loop). I often end up playing it alone because it is so good. It provides a broad range of sounds from classic read more can delay to "outer space" swirling. Lots of fun navigating the setting and finding hidden gems. The pedal adds "space" to the sound without filtering-out the dynamics of the clean Strat, it also does not affect the EQ. ***There are two controls hidden on the board, a buffer/true by-pass switch and a little "gain" control that can be accessed using a small screwdriver. Since this pedal is not battery-powered, users don't need to open it and might not notice. There's nothing about that in the online manual so if you have an Adineko, look under the hood***. The external DC input is recessed into the chassis so **some power supply plugs might not fit correctly in the input**. The external DC port should have been flush mounted with the pedal's chassis. This is truly my only complaint. I am so happy I purchased this pedal and I want to thank Aric Ficek at Sweetwater for helping me out!

Really cool! I like it a lot. Easy to work with. I gave it a four because I could live just fine without it. Having said that it's an awesome pedal and I glad I treated myself

A truly distinct delay

I am going to start with the punchline; this pedal is fantastic. I have often listened to albums from the late 50s and 60s and wondered how the producers where generating that creepy, reverb/modulated delay. I had never heard of an oil can delay before. As soon as I started playing the Adineko I had an "ah ha, this is it" moment. This pedal is about as lo-fi as it gets. The tonal read more characteristics are the merging of an analog delay, modulation (vibrato like movement), and reverb. If you like to play music from the 50s and 60s this is a must have. I also imagine this pedal would be optimal for any music type that mixes genres, e.g. Indie rock. The Adineko will also be awesome for those who just want a delay tone that is distinct, with respect to the ubiquitous digital and analog delays. My advice would be to watch a demo video of the oil can delay so you get a sense of what this pedal is modeling to help you set the pedal to the type of tones you seek. Awesome delay.

Unique sounding delay

Catalinbread does it again with this unique analog delay unit. This simulates the sound of the old Tel-Ray oil can units faithfully. I understand it isn"t an exact representation, but unless you have time and thousands of dollars at your disposal (must be nice if you do), then this is a great alternative. It has a warm tone, but also sounds dark. Sounds amazing on the clean channel read more of my Orange Micro Dark with a Telecaster. I use it more as an echo rather than a traditional delay in my band. Even running it through the dirt channel of my amp the thing sounds great. The versatility of this pedal is a real selling point too. I know it"s not the cheapest pedal out there, but what do you expect for hand built!?
