I have the Squier Contemporary Jazzmaster which I wanted to use as a mod platform for a metalcore workhorse. The pickups in the Squier were good in terms of high gain riffs, it was the clean tones I had a problem with. The pickups were so high output, the cleans sounded like they were a little overdriven. The Blackouts arrived no problem, I just had to wait a long time to get them… read more to the guitar shop to get them installed. After that the tone was absolutely rejuvenated. The cleans were 100% fixed, and the dirty tones were multiplied by 100% in the best way possible. Can"t recommend these enough!
