Real sonic glue
Like most Analog Alien stuff, this pedal goes beyond its primary function. This thing is sonic glue. You can tweak the knobs just a touch and it brings single-coil strats to life and makes them sound like high definition. It can be used as a great clean boost. A tone-shaping monster with three knobs! Analog Alien stuff is killer. Great company and awesome customer service! Get ittttttt.
Fantastic must have compressor if you play guitar.
The first time I turned this thing on I noticed two things: number one, it was like I removed ear plugs from my ears. Number two, my guitar rig took on an all new dimension of professionalism, clarity, and integrity:) I'm not going to name names, but I've owned a number of compressors throughout my life. This one has them all beat. This one makes all the other ones I've owned sound… read more like noisy pieces of crappy garbage or too difficult to set just to find out it didn't really get the job done anyways. I still love my L.R. Baggs session compressor though, but it's only good on my parallel acoustic circuit that I run in my midi switching system. I still run through this first though. When I first turned it on I played my own grunge song, then I played some AC/DC, Eddie Van Halen, and Jimmy Page. It made everything I played sound more authentic. This pedal stays on all the time.
