Excellent multi-use reverb

Was looking for simple reverb for my acoustic guitars to use at jams, live gigs and some recording situations. This is the perfect unit for the way I like to setup. Was taking a hard look at a Fender Reverb/pre-amp, but passed on that due to no battery power capability. (didn't want to have to find power for short up-down jam situations) The variety of soundscapes possible make… read more this an excellent choice, in my opinion. and work well with any of my instruments. (6 str. 12 str. and classical) Here is a use that I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere... it works great as an insert effect if your mixer is so equipped as the side-chain layout returns the original signal to the channel untouched making it useful for other instruments/mics as well. Well constructed, controls feel smooth and precise.

This is a very natural, "organic" sounding reverb which does a beautiful job of enhancing my nylon classical. Simple, highly adjustable, quiet, and very effective. There is something important to be said about this business of leaving the original signal intact, and bringing in the effect via the "sidechain". To have… read more a plug and play setup giving me the three things I find essential . Tone and feedback control . Volume control . Reverberation Enter the L.R. Baggs Align series Reverb pedal. This pedal introduces not just reverb but a dreamy, soft, spaceial, liquid sound to accent my instrument. Set the Volume control to match your dry signal for the perfect balance. Set the Tone control from a dark distant tone to a bright in your face shimmer. Set the Reverb control as far as you want it to reach. The icing on the cake is the Decay control. This little knob takes you from a natural acoustic reverb to a long plate with a dreamy chorus vibe. My setup..simple and stage ready BBE Acoustimax pre-amp. Earny Ball 181VP JR volume pedal-active. L.R.Baggs Align series Reverb PTM20SC pedal board. The volume pedal is in front of the reverb and both units are inserted via the BBE's insert jack. That allows the pre-amp to do its thing while inserting volume control after the pre-amp stage and sending the controlled output through the reverb. I have total control right in front of me. I tell the soundman to give me flat response no effects. The L.R. Baggs reverb is the icing on the cake to this setup, and the compliments on my sound, outstanding.
