Perfect vintage neck
I love 60s strats and I got this neck for a strat build I was doing. I was building a John Mayer inspired guitar and this neck fits the role perfectly. Took it to a local guitar store to get truss rod adjusted and nut slots filed. Plays great and has a similar feel to my Silver Sky!
Great neck!
bought this to replace a Mark Knopfler neck. Nice and chunky, reminds me of a 64 strat I once had in high school. I had no issues with this neck. Fit perfectly, bolted it on, tweaked the truss rod a hair, re-intonated a hair and ready to go. Very happy with the feel and tone of this neck!
Classic 60's neck Feels great.
I got this to replace the Pau Ferro neck on my Mexican Roadworn Stratocaster, (Vintera Roadworn), So It has the nitrocellulose lacquer on the body & also on this neck. I really could not get used to the feel of the Pau Ferro. Rosewood feels better on my fingertips. & It's more traditional to the Vintage era. This neck fits with the vintage tuning machines, which are great also.… read more Fender has Pure Vintage tuners available, their "Pure Vintage" line is all period correct specs. This neck has the "Veneer board" as opposed to the "slab-board" type rosewood. & the CBS style Fender Logo & pearloid dots, instead of clay dots, so that makes it most true to around a 1965 neck, I believe... Details aside, this neck feels great to the fingertips, has a bone nut, plays great, has the narrow tall fret wire...9-1/2 radius, everything perfect. I could not be happier. It's been the only guitar out of around 15 that I own that I've been playing, since I got it together with the 60's Roadworn Stratocaster & also the Fat-60's Alnico 2 pickups. Sounds like heaven plugged directly into my Princeton Tweed amp. All this stuff I purchased here at Sweetwater!!!
