Amazing tele bridge pickup
Bought this to go with the Antiquity tele neck pickup. My Fender relic 1952 tele has never sounded so good! I doubt I will ever change from these Duncan Antiquities.
Sweet Sounding Tele Bridge!
I think this Tele bridge sounds fantastic. My first impression was that it sounds clear, warm, and full. The highs are sweet--not too harsh. The lows are warm. The mids are just the right amount for what I want from a telecaster bridge pickup. It sounds nice clean, but I really love it with an amp that is just breaking up. (If you want a more mid-heavy pup, then check out… read more the Antiquity '55; it is the same pickup, with raised D & G poles to give those mids some more volume.) I really thought a lot about the Seymour Duncan Broadcaster tele bridge pup, because it is a lot cheaper, but I'm really glad I went for this one. Mine was 6.6 ohm (SeymourDuncan cites these at 6.5, so mine was pretty close to the normal). I stuck it in an Albert Collins/Keith Richards style tele with an Antiquity Humbucker in the neck (custom shop shiny-new looking with 4C output) and these pickups sound so good I think I should sell all my pedals--because I get the sound I want from these things alone!
