Perfect sound!
Let me start by saying this pickup sounds perfect, exactly how I always wanted my strat to sound. Very dynamic and snappy, super spanky, very versatile with any style that doesn't use a plethora of gain (definitely gets ice picky with anything beyond Rude Mood levels of distortion), but they are perfect sounding. My only issue and the only reason I did not give a perfect score is… read more because of Seymour Duncan themselves. I received a neck pickup instead of a RWRP middle pickup, which mistakes happen, but I called Seymour Duncans support and they could not help me verify that I had received a neck pickup (the box was labeled RWRP middle, but it was wired the same as my neck from the same set). Also their serial numbers are not stored and the support person I spoke with recommended I use a compass to verify vs listening to what I was telling him regarding the pickup having the same wiring as my neck *facepalm* The bigger point is Sweetwater corrected swiftly and replaced it and were professional as always! but I couldn't help but be bothered by the experience. I know a lot of stores have a zero return policy and Seymour Duncans' ineptitude has left me to wonder how many have been left to dry with super out of phase pickups…..
