My Favorite Pedal
Amazing pedal very easy to use. The 8 modes give a lot of flexibility. And a lot of psicodelic sounds
Latency is a problem, makes it unusable
I'm a big fan of vibrato. I was really excited when this came out because I thought it would be a nice modern alternative to my old Boss VB-2, and EQD generally makes pretty decent and reliable effects. The thought was that I could gig with it and not worry about losing a nearly 40 year old and highly sentimental piece of gear, and that I also would have another flavor of vibrato… read more around. Unfortunately the pedal has some latency on the effected signal — it's very slight, and at first I wondered if there was some setting that I had missed like "pre-delay" but nope, that's just how they implemented the effect. The latency would be fine if it were a chorus effect, but since there's no dry signal with a vibrato the latency is very noticeable, especially when switching the pedal on. Sadly this makes the pedal totally unusable for me. Too bad because otherwise it was a pretty good sounding effect.
Best dynamic Vibrato on the market
From a subtle, watery Sine or Triangle wave shimmer, to a seasick drunken master of modulation in Random mode, the Aqueduct literally covers any kind of Vibrato sound you can imagine, with an extremely simple set of knobs. The touch sensitive Envelope controlled pitch mode is a favorite of mine, allowing you to divebomb as if you have the best Floyd Rose tremolo arm on the market,… read more without having to worry about going out of tune at all. Roll back the depth slightly in that mode and it turns into a badass flanger/chorus that pairs incredibly well with any reverb (especially the Earthquaker Levitation). Cannot recommend this pedal enough!
My World Just Became a Little Bigger
I didn't know that I wanted a pedal that could sound like I was playing through my elementary school's 8mm film projector from the 70's, but hey, you learn something new everyday! There are some crazy sounds that at first you may not be sure what you would do with, but if you dial back the depth just right on some of them (essentially a wet/dry knob), it can be quite a sublime… read more seasoning to your sound.
Awesome pedal!
Does the conventional vibrato effect very well and the experimental modes open your creativity to take you to new sonic spaces. My vibrato effect search is over. I highly recommend this pedal.
