Embrace Your Density... err, Destiny!

Never a company to shy away from tweakable and exciting sonic landscapes, Earthquaker Devices' Astral Destiny is a lot packed into a single pedal. Featuring eight reverb moves with scalable parameters, expression pedal input, a stretch feature, and eight storable and configurable presets, you will never run out of unique sounds you can get out of this pedal. I love the shimmery read more octave up and overtones sound for some passages when I feel like getting a little trippy. My descriptions can't do it the justice that Andy's demos do, so check them out and embrace the love from scenic Akron, Ohio today!

A Shimmer Machine and More

This pedal really captures and expands upon the tonal quality of Shimmer! This pedal covers the Astral Plain of of tonal modulation with a number of great variations and features. I also combine this great EDS pedal with the Keeley Darkside and the EDS Astral Destiny takes the Darkseid into deep space!

This pedal is rad. First of all, you have good presets, awesome spatial settings built in, and the ability to tailor your own sound across four variables. Plus the stretch allows you to pull out just that little bit more that you didn't know you needed because you didn't have this pedal. Some of the modes can be a bit.... intense. It put me in the mind of something more like synthesizing read more sounds - you might be playing an open G but the pedal is giving you the echo of a butterfly's flap in an infinite cave. It is, as I said, rad. It took me some time to tone it down to get really mild, but still noticeable and enjoyable reverb out of it, like you might get with a more standard pedal. But being able to quickly switch from the abyss to a Jeff Buckley Hallelujah and back to the abyss is great.

Versatile reverb!

This pedal is extremely versatile! You can dial in just a standard reverb or get super spacey with all of the octave options and modulation. Sounds amazing with synths!

Sweeeet octave reverb

This pedal is the bee's knees. I was never one for octave pedals of any sort but once I seen a demo of this I knew I needed it. It fills a void in my playing, giving a much fuller sound to whatever I'm doing. It adds nice texture without being over bearing but you could definitely tweak the controls to make some spacey sounds. If you're looking for a more traditional reverb, this read more isn't for you. There is a setting where there's no octave being played on the reverb tail but you still get a slight worbley sound almost chorus like which you may or may not be into. Overall great pedal and I thank James for his superb customer service.
