A solid package

My priorities with a new amp were; simple or traditional controls, build quality (translates to reliability I would think), an affects loop, good sound at bedroom levels and reverb would be nice. The Cub checks all the boxes...It sounds really good, is lightweight, on paper it should be more reliable than a tube amp, has an effects loop, three inputs for three different tones and read more is working well with pedals. I don't know how I could give it less than five stars since it really is a very well thought out package. I think its a winner and its hard to imagine anyone doing research, making the purchase and not being happy!

Best Solid State Yet!

My first real amp back in the day was a Peavey Classic VT Series from 1978, the one with a Solid State pre amp and Tube power amp, then came a Peavey Stereo Chorus 400 that was all SS before I was able to jump into the world of all tube amps. I tried a few pure SS amps here and there but always wished that they weren't so cold & sterile on the clean side and/or buzzy & fizzy on read more the driven side but so far this one is different. It actually can get very close to the sound of my Princeton Reverb Reissue to my ears. Include the fact that it has an effects loop, can do silent recording, only weighs 21 pounds and will keep up with a drummer, that makes it hard to beat. Well worth the money! Also thanks to Any Miller for taking care of me all these years!

I can't say enough good things about this amp. I own both this amp and the UK version and between them I have all the tone and dynamics I want from jazz to metal. They sre full, rich, dynamic sounding and feeling with everything I want and need and nothing I don't. The Line outs are pristine as well for DI recording. I got rid of 3 very good tube amps in favor of these because read more of their versatility, light weight, and overall excellent sound and dynamics. Well done Mr Quilter.

Unreal Piece of Equipment.

Just got mine. Had no clue it existed and was going to go with a Blonde Tonemaster to replace my tube amp....Ethan Kattau, my sound engineer, told me about it and said to go have a look at the reviews and demos. It is a killer amp. Probably the best sounding new amp, tubes or not, that I have ever played. You get 3 different options for sounds and inputs. I grabbed a JHS ABY read more switch and run it at the end of my pedalboard so I can push the Blackface and Tweed at the same time. Sounds mind-blowing. This thing is absurdly loud and I can't crank it yet, but it truly sounds and behaves like a tube amp. I definitely think the ABY switch unlocks the true potential of this amp. Sounds great with any of my single coil or humbucking guitars. I love it and ca not believe it is a solid state. I probably won't use the reverb on it because I swear by my keeley caverns. This amp is the perfect solid state amp to throw your favorite pedals in front of and there is no digital crap, processors, or computers to deal with. It is an amp. It makes the tubey yummy fendery sounds. It does it without tubes to blow or modelers that sound fake. Get one. Thanks Ethan!!!

Best SS amp I’ve ever owned

I cannot say enough good things about this amp. It sounds remarkably big for such a small cabinet. It responds to my playing, the harmonics are so rich. I genuinely feel like I'm playing through a Fender amp. It's lightweight, takes pedals well, and the FX loop is great. The limiter is key to getting that tube amp "squash." I won't be "ditching all my tube amps," but this thing read more is going to be my go-to for years to come.
