I started playing the electric bass a few years before I ever picked up a 6 string guitar, and the first guitar I ever played had 11-50's on it. Maybe I'm biased because of that, but I learned to love playing 11-50's. These strings sound great and feel great as well, not super stiff, very bendable and they won't chew up your finger tips. This is just my personal taste, but 9's feel… read more way too wimpy for me, so I stick with 11's and La Bella really did a great job with this reissue. I would recommend trying them out, the price is very reasonable and my understanding is that these strings are a limited production run, so I'm about to buy a whole bunch and stock up.

Sorry Earny Ball, I have found a new brand of strings, these make my Gretsch 5421 Electromatic Jet Club, Firebird Red sound like a guitar, Great tone, feel, and very bendable!
