Absolutely Amazing!

My Strymon journey began a few years ago. My first purchase was the Volante, and I was absolutely blown away by its quality and versatility. Panning the heads for stereo was a game-changer for me, and my Boss RE20 was none too pleased to say the least! I purchased a BlueSky last year and I was amazed what that little blue box can do. However, the tweaker in me desired more so I read more sprung for the BigSky. Well! As a drummer, I'm in hog heaven! All engines sound superb. Want Phil Collins in a box? The Gate mode in Nonlinear is nice. The Room, Hall and Plate engines are superb for drumset. The clarity of sound is absolutely amazing! This is the finest unit I've ever had. 10 stars!

Very Flexible and Useful Reverberator

Many reviews have spoken about this pedal so I won't re-hash those. I am using this for a solo act I am putting together. One of my numbers has some ethereal parts which can be impossible to do without the advanced reverbs in this little box. I use an expression pedal to control the mix in real time so I can either have a touch or the full ethereal effect. Switching between reverb read more types can be done in a blended transition which is natural sounding like you have a sound engineer working with you. The other reverbs are nice too, and have many applications. As for cost...you would not be able to come close to this unit by putting several reverbs and their mixing plus wiring together for the price of this unit. Well worth it for what you get!

Been wanting one for ages, not disappointed.

Firstly thanks to the guys at Sweetwater, as always, fast delivery and item in perfect order. I've been thinking about getting one of these for ages and I finally pulled the trigger, kinda wish I hadn't waited so long, thing is amazing. I have it connected to the MoDx i just bought and what it does to the pianos on that thing just blows my mind, i think the bigsky could make a rock read more in washing machine sound awesome. Only problem I got now is trying not to buy anymore Strymon products just yet, can't make any promises though.

Stellar

Spendy but incredible. A shredder over in the UK named Rabea has a YouTube channel and did an extensive rundown on this pedal that pretty much sealed the deal for me, so if you're on the fence about it, maybe check that out. My main question was, if my amp already has a nice sounding reverb, and my delay pedal has a nice sounding reverb, how much reverb do I really need? The answer read more to that may be different for each player, but this one has so many tonal possibilities, I immediately started playing a chord progression I had never played before when I first started turning knobs on this thing and the inspiration from this pedal continues. My favorite knobs on the big sky are the predelay and tone because they allow me to sculpt the different reverb types into some extremely useful settings, like the shimmer type for instance. That reverb type has always kind of annoyed me and sounded cheesy to my ears, but I now use it quite often thanks to all the dials on the big sky.

Everything I hoped for and more.
