I was playing a set that used to be my go to strings they were(10-46's with a wound g string(3rd). Not to many brands carry wound 3rd's. DAddario is the only other brand that has wound 3rd's that are not flatwound. Anyway I noticed that I got better tone when I tightened up the strings, so I was looking for 12-52's so I could remain in E. I saw these and they had a wound 3rd…… read more Put them on my dot 335 and are awesome. I loosened them a lil until I get used to the thicker strings. But for me TIGHT strings improve my tone all around.
