Black Beauties coated strings 10/31/2021
Pros: Good intonation, nice tone, but ..... Cons: The coating feels like rope. The coating started coming off after only 2 weeks of practice by a beginner! I always buy Elixirs but couldn't get .11's due to shortages or whatever. If I would've know this sooner I would have asked for my money back.
Just not that good
I thought I'd try these out......well....ummmmm......yeah, the coating came off in minutes of playing, on the neck and picking area between humbuckers,Made a mess on my pearl white multiscale, little black specks everywhere. They sound like $!%#, too brittle/tinny and the g string had a bend in it by the ball end so I tried it out anyway. These are definitely not for me.
Incredibly poor
I may have just gotten unlucky, but the 2nd string snapped while putting it on. They also feature a tacky black coating which I'm not really a fan of, it seems obvious after viewing the name but I just didn't expect solid black strings. The 2nd string snapping under hand tension during putting it on is why I'm giving this 1 star though. I haven't had that happen before. Nut… read more on my guitar isn't sharp either.
