Weighs nothing does everything

running through this box feels and sounds like playing guitar through an Apollo unison strip, the comps sound like unison plugins, the EQ highs and mids sound like you're running through a real life Avalon, it weighs absolutely NOTHING, when you scroll through comp types you can hear little relays clicking away inside switching components like an Apollo, the bloom boost is so unhinged read more it could probably drive a 4x12 without a power amp idk. this EQ sounds better than the Tone Job, I didn't think that would have been possible. i don't know if this is all analog but it's so touch sensitive and transparent and fast it doesn't even sound like there is an effect present when it's on, it's just your pickups but squeezed into sausage, or you pickups but EQ'd like they were just re-wound or something, or your pickups but now they push +40 dB all by themselves, I've never heard an effect pedal this clear and invisible and effortlessly violent before. SOMEBODY GOT THE IMPEDANCE STAGING VERY VERY CORRECT!!! you pay 99 each for a midi controlled 3-pack, Jackson audio is awesome. only thing that could make it better is make the aux comp stage available in all comp/time modes, and the ability to put EQ and/or bloom pre-comp...so I can make the comp really suffer like it wants to

Essential workhorse-pedal for a MIDI pedalboard

Cristian

This is an incredible pedal if you use MIDI to "wire" patches, and if you rely on a midi controller as the "brain" of your set up. If this is you, you will LOVE the bloom by Jackson Audio. I cant overstate enough how incredibly useful this pedal is in this context. The Bloom is essentially three pedals in one, a boost, an EQ and a compressor, all independent of each other, all read more extremely capable and with a big impact on the sound, and all programmable via MIDI. I stopped thinking about this as a compressor alone, i actually use it more as an EQ and Boost. This pedal probably sees the most action in my board of all my pedals because Im always needing to use one of the three pedals this pedal actually includes. Now, if you dont use MIDI and you want a compressor, Im not sure this will be your cup of tea. The compressor is based on presets, which need to be selected from an array by pressing the footswitch many times. Manually you dont really dial the compression beyond a clean blend and the "intensity" of compression (effect mix). The famous " K - 4-knob" in that sense is a better compressor for you I think. Also, the three main foot-switches are tightly placed next to each other and I can see this being annoying to some people wanting to activate just the EQ (two switches at once), or just the boost, or just the compressor with their foot. Because I use MIDI to control it I dont care about this, I actually never touch the pedal. To summarize, if you are a MIDI head GET THIS! If you are more of a traditional set up person watch some demos to see if you'll like its operation.
