Sweet Capo!
This dude is just a sweet piece. I was worried at the process of putting this type on my guitar. I've always had the other clamp type. But once you figure out the method on this one its a piece of cake. Plus you get much better even pressure from this type too.
Best Ever
OMG, if you use a capo on an acoustic guitar this is the one to have! I have used Dunlop, Keyser, G7th, etc. This stays in place and tuning does too. Also, the gold tone looks fantastic. If you have guitars with a full length radius neck go with Shubb C1. The slim profile doesn't interfere with finger action.
This capo does the trick! Great sound...
I had a bit of a capo restructuring experience, when several capos I had started to fail and needed to be replaced. Also, a long-time Shubb capo disappeared. So, I went to Sweetwater's site and did a bit of browsing and saw this GOLD Shubb capo and ordered one (and a couple others....reviews at their sites). This capo works wonderfully. It is especially solid for recording and I… read more have heard no buzzing or weird after-tones. I have read that is takes a couple seconds to put on, but those are worth it because this baby shines. PS I liked this capo so much, I bought a second one.... MY only comment is that it sure would be nice to have a small bag to carry and protect the capo in the guitar case.
Shubb Capo Perfect For Me
One handed capos such as the Dunlop work great but are too bulky and get in my way. I have an old Shubb and needed a second capo to keep in another guitar case. The Shubb takes up less space behind the neck and does not get in my way like some others. The new one is improved with a wheel that makes the adjustment smooth and quick, and just works great on both guitar and mandolin.… read more There may be a mando specific model, but this is working great to quickly swap on stage.
Shubb Capo "Wonderful"....
On occasion I like Capo's to add color to Acoustic guitar (Taylor) along with tuning variation. For a while I was using Kyser for the convenience of one hand clamp for quick-change but found over time the spring tension loosens or at higher register "Pull Down" the strings to be slightly Out-of-tune? Then I tried "G7th" was better but noticed "You really have to squeeze harder"… read more over time or the capo can loosen (over 6 months time) seemed like the internal mechanism wears to the point bumping the neck slightly causes it to get loose?? Then from friends, and guitarists that use Capo's more than I do (with their experience) pointed me to "Shubb C1G" in Gold, I just Love it! it might not move as fast as one handed, but with the adjusting screw & spring, it's smooth clamping anywhere on the guitar neck and "I make the adjustment" so I know it's secure rather than hoping (the others) will stay on? Very happy with this Capo, and as always Sweetwater Engineers are the best in the business, I even live near Sam Ash and Guitar Center, just from experience.......
