C6B Dobro Capo for Resophonic Guitars - Brass Review

Works Great once you figure it out!

I have a square neck Gretsch Dobro and I was about to throw this capo in the trash until I read here on the Sweetwater site that it can be adjusted. I rotated both the brass nut that lies on the fret and the rubber mute that clamps down on the strings and suddenly it worked perfectly! Sounds great and helps make hammer-ons and pull-offs work when you shift keys. Nice bit of engineering!

Functional if nothing else available

It technically works ,but it clumsy & buzzy. I would recommend the Walworth capo, which also works on lap steel. (Similar to my great old beard capo)

Great Capo - NOT for Gretsch Resonators

Schubb makes an outstanding product and this dobro capo is no different. I received the capo for my Gretsch squareneck bobtail. The Gretsch Bobtail has a 1/2" action, come to find out, the schubb c6b will only work to a 7/16" action......however, they do make a "modified" version for higher actions (this would have been nice to know!). This capo was recommend by Sweetwater experts,… read more but was not the fit for my instrument. I had to send it to Schubb to have it modified. They were very helpful and will use them directly again. A little disappointed in Sweetwater on this one.
