The Cali Tweed is just a gem. It served as an "upgrade" from a '65 RI Princeton. Things I love: the tone controls are extremely responsive; the tube OD is just amazing; the volume is easily controllable while maintaining the sweetspot; the speaker is just amazing; the amp is built perfectly; the reverb is just godly; clean tones are just magic. I've been playing for 60 years. I have owned Fender Princeton, deluxe, twin, Gibson, Vox, Carr, Tone King, Top Hat, PRS, Swart, Bogner, Morgan, Ampeg, and I traded a Dr Z Cure for this Cali Boogie, all of it in a seemingly endless quest for the holy tone grail. This is simply the best amp I've ever played through and it blends perfectly with my Carr Sportsman, and amp I will never surrender. YMMV, but it's got the right stuff I've been looking for.

1 channel simplicity with a great sound. I play mostly clean, this amp is perfect for that. It can also get grungy when necessary. The Amp is quieter then previous Boogies I've owned, especially the effects loop. Overall a great choice.

This is my first tube amp and I did a lot of research about clean or versatile amp and I ask a help from Sweetwater sales engineer and they are so helpful that I can decide in one day and I found this amp and I'm so happy with this amp. The sound is so sweet and powerful, I will probably have a MESA amp again. Thanks again sweetwater for always helping me to choose!

Sounds beautiful and with all the controls to conjure up anything from Contemporary jazz to surf rock. So many adjustments, I made up a spreadsheet to track them. Whenever I get a "sound" I like, I enter the settings and what guitar/pickups I was using. Keep me busy and happy for years to come.
