Vox Cambridge - Best Kept Secret!

Glenn

We shopped all the leading modeling amps in the $ range for my grandson. I honestly didn't think he'd go with the Vox Cambridge with the Boss Katana 1 and 2 - we BOTH preferred the superior tone of the Cambridge-in each of the settings- the 12" Celestion speaker & Nutube pre-amp tech made it stand out, and although no Bluetooth, it does have an onboard tuner that Katana surprisingly read more did NOT have. The FS5 pedal is a must, worked great. We passed on The Fender Mustang, as a LCD failure would potentially limit the amp. I wish these were around when I started out back in the day!

My Brother bought this amp and he had it delivered to my house while he was out of town working. I started out thinking I would at least plug it in and let him know it worked. First time playing through it and it sounded great. It did't take a lot of knob twisting. It just sounds good and it can get loud with the built-in power scaling. For $, this amp is something that should read more be considered. i liked it, and so does my Brother!

Best in it's class

Speaking as someone who has owned a similarly priced boss katana and a fender mustang, this thing crushes them. The speaker is a huge upgrade with much more bass response and fuller sound. The 1959 sound is just awesome for me and with a tube screamer added it becomes badass. With so many products modeling the same classic amps, it's easy to a/b test and for me this just wins. Built read more in attenuator is a great selling point. The tuner on this is a weak point but you can find a pedal or other product for dirt cheap. Would buy over and over again.

I've used a fantastic Fender Vibrolux Reverb amp for over 40 years. I'll never stop using it. That said, I wanted a lighter and versitile amp product to use at my church. I have 2 cuddos for this purchase. The first to Dom, my sales engineer that helped me decide on the Vox Cambridge. It was one of 3 that I was considering. His help was huge! The second goes to the product. It exceeds read more my expectations as it relates to quality of sound, ease of operation and portability, I love it but still have much to learn about it. This will lead to more business with the Sweetwater organization!!

Light amp, heavy tone.

Very impressive amp. Cleans are really good. Drive(s) same here. Mine is finaly broken in. Must use the pedal foot switcher to take advantage of the amp. Yes it's loud. Software editor is awesome. Price is better than fair. Nutube technology may be the future. It's inspiring. Very happy.
