That little sticky square…
Although it does work it could be better. I was hoping for a more sticky adhesive for mounting to the wall. It is inadequate to say the least. I found the centerline of the stud on the wall I mounted this and countersunk a 1-1/2" screw through it enough to securely mount it on the wall. Which works fine. Head of the screw is buried in the bumper. Looks fine. An easy fix would be… read more a rectangular strip of adhesive on the back the full length of the bumper.
Seems to do the deal
I was a little taken back how small they actually are (not much larger than your finger). Yet they do the deal and provide bump cushion to the wall. Don't know about the tape coming off but easy enough to find double stick tape or even velcro if needed. I gave a 4.5 as I was just blown away how tiny they are.
Nice to have for hollow-bodies
I bought 4 hangers and 4 bumpers, to clear some floor-space. For the two 3.5"-wide-bodied acoustic/electric guitars, it's nice to have the bumper. My electric Basses don't need the bumper, so I have a couple extra.
What can I say!!!
Does the job!!
Extra Protection
Works as expected. I am careful with my guitars but when they do get bumped this has kept them from hitting the wall. I have heard that these tend to fall off of the wall within hours so I stuck a couple extra pieces of foam tape on there and it has not fallen off yet (it's been over a month).
