It's my American AC30
Originally i was looking to get an AC30, but i didn't want to spend the money on that so in looking around at different tones and setups on amps i came across this bad boy. Genuinely though i have now A-B'd my tone from this to a handwired AC30 and honestly i've kinda fallen in love with the tone of the Classic 30 more. It was my affordable alternative turned into my main tone.… read more I use a pretty well sized pedalboard on this amp and it handles all of them extremely well, but pedals aside the clean tone from the amp just plugging in straight is also immensely impressive. I like the tone my pedals give me but the way the amp can sit by itself is wonderful. It's not too heavy as far as tube amps go and i've played a lot of different sized venues and this amp never fails to be plenty loud enough, i think the most i ever put it up to was 6 and that was for recording, mostly at shows with a sound guy i don't have to go past 4 (remember this amp goes to 12). Tl;dr - this amp is amazing, affordable, plenty loud enough, can handle pedals well, and works well straight into the amp also.

I also own a Fender Deluxe Reverb and a Vox AC15, neither of which are quite the "all-around" performer that the Peavey has been. I was looking for something a little lighter. My 1969 Kalamazoo has great tone but is no longer reliable. This is it. Right out of the box the tone… read more is great and much more volume than I expected. The Classic 50 is a great amp and so is the Classic 30, 25 years later.
Great little amp
The reverb is wonderful, you'd never know it's only 30 watts by the volume of the amp. Highly recommend for the great clean tones.
