Couldn’t get more guitar for the same price
The Cordoba C7 is plenty of guitar for the beginner/intermediate player. You really could not get more guitar for the same price. It has a beautiful warm sound that makes it sound like a more expensive guitar.
So much more than I expected
I expected this would be a nice entry level classical nylon string guitar - but this Cordoba C7 is so much more. The look is gorgeous - from the gold tuners with black buttons (really precise tuning!) to the hand-friendly neck, dark back and sides and that beautiful red cedar top. The build quality is impressive - much more than I expected. I tuned it up and played "Classical… read more Gas" and now it sounds like the Mason Williams version that he did on a classical nylon. I'm thinking how great this guitar will sound on "Somewhere" from West Side Story and "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic. The tone is deep, and resonant with wonderful clarity and sustain. I love my steel string guitars, but I will have a hard time putting this down for a long time. If you are thinking of adding a classical nylon to your guitarsenal, I can't see how you would be disappointed in this C7. And when you order, you will want a hard case to protect this beauty. Sweetwater is tops in customer service, and if you don't have a rep, I highly recommend AJ Beccera who has helped me for years - he's knowledgeable, detail oriented and an all around good guy.
Cordoba C7 Cedar - Outstanding
I recently purchased the Cordoba C7 with a Cedar top. First, the guitar. I debated between the C5, C7, C9, and C10. I have played the different models and love all of them. I have purchased other Cordoba guitars in the past and have always been pleased with the quality and value that they provide. I have other Guitars brands also. (Taylor, Yamaha, Alvarez, Ibanez, etc.) Cordoba… read more has never let me down. The C7 seemed to fit in the perfect Return on Investment niche. The price is very accessible to most people, and the level of guitar that you get for that price is outstanding. Of course paying twice as much will get you a 'more expensive' / 'better' guitar, but in reality, the C7 provides you with a 'unicorn' guitar. The more expensive models are exceptional, but for your dollar, you do not get 'twice' or 'three times' the guitar. The C7 is a real treat. It sounds beautiful. It looks gorgeous. It plays wonderful. (I recommend adjusting the action to fit your individual needs - but really, this is required on every guitar. I like and adjusted the action to be lower than how it came out of the box - but this is a very easy process). If you are on the fence about the Cordoba C7, just get it. You will not regret it. I get a large smile on my face every time I pick it up. It's hard to put down. Second, the service of Sweetwater is the best. I have purchased from Sweetwater before, and will continue to do so. Their attention to detail and customer service is outstanding. I have full confidence in them and will continue to purchase all my musical instruments from them. Keep up the great work. Thanks Cordoba and Sweetwater!!
Looks beautiful and sounds beautiful.
A work of art and very good value for the price. Not sure I would ever need to upgrade.
Absolutely love this guitar!
I bought a C3M last year to get back into some nylon strings. I fell in love with the guitar so much that I pushed through learning "Rio Ancho." After 1 year, I wanted more so I gave my C3M to my niece and upgraded to the C7 spruce top. Greatest decision ever. Not only is my niece in love with her new C3M, but I am blown away at the sound and playability of my C7. Sweetwater's… read more setup was fabulous as always, the guitar is in perfect condition, and the tone of this guitar is amazing. The harmonics ring out clearly, there is no buzz on the neck, and the action is perfect. I love everything about this guitar.
Great guitar, great value.
Just got my C7 from Sweetwater with the intention of learning Jobim. The guitar is light, it's beautiful, fantastic build quality and it sounds great.
Incredible Value
The C7 is a beautifully built and great sounding instrument. The attention to detail on this guitar is flawless and it sounds great as well. It is extremely resonant and easily compares to guitars I have played costing 2-3 times the price. Please keep in mind that the guitar may require a setup from a professional as my guitar's action was very high when I received it, the nut… read more and bridge required some adjustments, which left me wondering exactly what the 55 point inspection involved. Either way, even after a trip to a luthier, this guitar was a STEAL. If you need a great classical guitar and don't want to break the bank, click on "BUY"
Wow! Amazing Guitar ...BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!
We have a c3 and c5 in our family (as well as Martin and Taylor Steel String guitars) and my teen children wanted a classical guitar that is a bit more special for school concerts and recitals. We loved this Cordoba series so much that we decided to purchase a C7 Spruce Natural. This instrument is absolutely beautiful and plays like a guitar 3x its price. It is beautifully finished… read more and plays well right out of the box. I can't say enough great things about this Cordoba series of guitars. Do your self a favor and buy one. I would recommend this instrument for intermediate to advanced level players looking for a well made, great sounding, good looking guitar.
Great value for beginner - lower intermediate guitarist
For the money, I doubt you'll find a better guitar. If you're an intermediate player who can't afford to get a C10+ guitar or you're a beginner that's serious about learning, this is for you. I took a star off because one of the frets (7th or 8th one) isn't seated properly and makes the d string buzz when fretted on the 7th fret. Pros: The guitar looks amazing. The bass is… read more full. Most likely because of the layered rosewood sides. The trebles are clear. Most likely because of the spruce top. Trussrod adjustment! Action was pretty good out of the box Cons: Came with fret buzz on a single fret, so I need to file down/reset a fret to make my d string not buzz on the 7th fret. You have to buy a gig bag separately.
Value-for-money
Excellent classical guitar for a beginner or an intermediate player. Built quality and sound is impressive for this price range. Great value for the money. And, Sweetwater customer service (Joe Holsclaw) deserves 5 starts, as well.
