It's been an incredibly pleasant return to classical guitars for me. Haven't really gotten my hands on one since I was a beginner. Didn't properly appreciate the sound of them at the time, just wanted to solo like Slash. Years later however, I find this instrument inspiring. Truly resonant unlike any acoustic I've had before. Seems like no matter what change you make to your dynamics, read more it's always loud enough to come through beautifully. The surprisingly robust bass adds a blanket of warmth through which mids and highs can comfortably peek their heads and sing. A sound that's weighty and full without sacrificing clarity and precision of higher notes encourages you to explore the entire sound spectrum available with upmost confidence. The feel is exceptional as well. Fretting stands out as breezy even by the standards of nylon strings; and though the sound is weighty the instrument itself is anything but, making it perfect to carry around and practice just about anywhere. Like all acoustic instruments, I'm sure there's some variation between each individual piece. As for my experience however, I'm convinced that this is a truly special guitar.

I have always owned one or two two student classical guitars. For the last ten Ive had one student guitar and one Yamaha that I got on craigslist for $25. They're nothing special but play great and sit on their stands 24/7. They are well broken in and I'm used to playing them and I love them. At some point I decided to try a "nicer" guitar with better action and intonation that read more sounds and plays great all over the neck. I got 4 year interest free deal so I splurged on this gorgeous guitar and two years later, I can still get lost in its beauty and quality. The black and white ebony is sensational, its like dark and white chocolate only sweeter. It has a great case and humidification system and its all around a total dream of a guitar. However, I rarely play it compared to my two "beater" guitars that are always easily accessible. The Cordoba is in its case and is still far from broken in and still smells new. Still a 5 star review because it does play great and sounds and looks sweet, and the issue Im having is not Cordoba's problem.

I typically don't write reviews which says a lot about the excellent quality of this guitar. I think some (myself included) might feel reluctant about purchasing a guitar with laminated back and sides, let me put your fears to rest. I have not noticed any significant reduction in tonal quality due to the laminated black and white ebony. The articulation is crisp, clear, and simply read more lovely. I also have not found it to be bass heavy as some other reviewers have mentioned though I'm sure this varies significantly from guitar to guitar. I should also mention that aesthetically, the Espana 45 Limited is a masterpiece. The back of my guitar looks like watercolors running down a canvas and the sides are perfectly symmetrical matches to each other. I am SO impressed with everything about this gorgeous instrument from it's unique voice to its flawless fit and finish, I couldn't be more pleased!

I love this guitar. I am an intermediate player who is always looking to get better. I play mainly acoustic with steal strings. This is my first nylon string guitar and I am not disappointed! The base and projection of this guitar is second to none. I bought this mainly for finger licking, so I wanted something that would project well. The exceeds my standards. My opinion read more is it is also the best looking guitar on the market.

Cordoba swung for the fences with this guitar and put it out of the park. It was excruciating to wait the 24 hours before unboxing this instrument. I had already waited a couple weeks just for one to become available. But it was worth the wait. First things first: the action is excellent, the tone has a blend of solid fundamentals but with sparkling trebles. The HumiCase is a read more great value paired with this guitar. The feel, the smell, the sound (especially the sound) are all exceptional. That stated-- it never hurts to be beautiful. This guitar is a work of art. It is gorgeous. I thoroughly examined it for any flaws or blemishes with the craftsmanship of the build and the finish (respectively). Nothing of the sort!! And as always is the case with Sweetwater, the customer service is outstanding. Having my own personal sales engineer is what keeps me loyal to Sweetwater. A personal touch goes a long way towards my repeat business. My personal sales engineer, Clint Bransteter, has always shown genuine concern for my business. It's obvious why he is such a professional, because he really cares about customer satisfaction-- and me-- it shows.
