Very Expensive Metronome

Chris

I would first like to say as always Sweetwater did an excellent job at customer service and making sure these delivered before Christmas. The product is not good. The metronome works well. The app is terrible and eats my phone battery in 4 hours. Before installing the app I would get 36 hours out of a charge. Removed the app and went back. The watch has no idea what day it is read more and there is not a way to fix it from what I can find. The notifications are difficult to read and there is really no interaction. Just says you have one basically. Not a fan. I have the steel core and my wife has the core and they both perform the same. She has an LG phone I have a Samsung Note. See in picture it claims it is Wednesday, January 14th. If it can not even know that it is Thursday, really how much effort went into it.

If you're serious about your musical journey then this is a must have. Trying to listen to the tick of a metronome can be difficult to hear when you're playing music especially with other people. The vibe feature is where this comes in very handy. Another great feature is that it can be removed and placed on the head of your guitar for tuning very nice feature very happy with my read more purchase especially at Sweetwater.

Love it

Over all amazing has plenty of subdivisions and everything only problem I've had is battery life if you use it. It only lasts a day but it's okay because I charge it when I sleep so overall amazing just the battery life that's why I gave four instead of five!

It Failed

The first time I charged it (after the initial charge when purchased) it stopped at 69% and turned off. I have been emailing Soundbrenner for a week now and they still have not resolved the issue. The watch still works and appears to be charging at a very slow rate but it does not charge as it is designed to. The outer ring no longer lights up when charging. I like the concept of read more the watch, it is too bad they don't have the functionality up to par with their promotions.

OK, so just to clarify, I didn't get this from Sweetwater. I got this from the Indie Go-Go campaign, and I'm glad to see SW selling this. But it is an amazing product that I think every musician should have in their toolbox; or at least some form of this. I've had it for 2 days, and have already had to practically use every feature while at work and practicing. The metronome feature read more is a godsend during practice and performances. It is intuitive and simple to navigate while remaining powerful enough to be used at all levels of skill. I found the tuner to be useful for a quick tune-up between songs without much hassle. That said, I feel it could be slightly more sensitive. The magnets used to attach the core to an instrument are pretty heavy duty and don't feel its in danger of falling off while rocking out. Being an audio engineer as well I used the dB meter to check my dynamic ranges during sound checks. I wish it updated a little faster but that's just me. It works well and will warn you if it starts getting too loud. I wish it had an RTA function (Maybe a future update???) It also tells the time and comes with a timer and stopwatch. All in all, I love this and look forward to using to for many many years.
