My little beast
I purchased an Orange Crush 20RT for practice in my bedroom and it rocks. Great Orange vibes and plenty loud. The clean channel is sweet and the dirty is classic Orange growl. What more can one say? The orange is great and I do not have to drag that 60 watt monster out of my closet all the time though I do now and then when no one else is home to gripe.
This is a great amp!
This is a terrific small amp. The cleans are pristine. And the dirty channel is fantastic, from that just breaking up bluesy feel, to a warm overdrive, to a flat out it's all coming apart distortion. It's small, but it's loud enough. But it's not too loud. It's the perfect bedroom, home, amp. The reverb adds the touch you want and with the treble, mids, and bass controls,… read more you can dial in just about anything you'd want. Plus with the tuner you're ready to plug in, check that, and play. It's perfect. I have a Fender Hot Rod tube amp, I've had it for years, along with the tube amp snobbery that comes along with it. And the HRD has just been too powerful. I was looking for something less overbearing, but something that I could pull a warm overdrive out of, without a bunch of pedals. This is it. If you buy it, you won't be sorry.
Perfect Bedroom Amp
The Orange Crush is a fantastic bedroom amp. I have owned the larger version 35RT in the past. I prefer the smaller speaker size of the 20RT as it breaks up on the Clean Channel at lower volumes making this the perfect Blues amp. When I am feeling like rocking our I switch to the Dirty Channel and put Gain at high noon for punk rock power chords. The Spring Reverb is much better… read more than on competitor amps at the same price point. I've gone through them all over the past year: I went down the rabbit hole of buying/selling/repeat of Blackstar, Fender, Bugera, and Supro. There's something about the Orange that just feels right. I used to be a Fender Tube Amp snob but haven't been able to bond with a Fender amp in years. I finally accepted that Solid State amps are ok. Orange makes the best solid state amps as they are analog and have such a nice tone to them. Orange is not known for their cleans, that is where they are the real sleeper. Stand out of the crowd and have your own unique tone. You won't regret adding this amp to your arsenal whether its your only amp or an additional.
I like this thing a lot.
Solid amp. The toggle switch and tuner push-button switch are very small, but feel solid. I like the tuner interface much better than the one on my other practice amp. The foots witch capability is a cool feature. I love the sound on the clean channel and the dirty channel is a definite change up. Couldn't be happier with it especially for the price.
Great tone!
Very satisfied with my purchase. The amp is a solid build. Only two questionable things I've noticed on my unit 1. When on the dirty channel ( with gain at varying levels) one of the GREEN "OK" light on the tuner flickers constantly ( with the tuner turned off) 2..(shown In image) the on/off button For the tuner is just set in place without glue or anything, and fell out of the… read more top of my amp as I took it out of the box. Does not effect my usage As the amp will be stationary. Did not rush to report because i diddnt want to return my item after how hard I looked to buy one.
