Quack Attack!
These Fat 50s came stock in a Fender American Standard Strat I bought a couple years ago. As soon as I plugged into the amp and added some compression, these things quacked like a flock of ducks. In position 2 and 4, they are quiet as a chirch mouse and give you THE classic strat tone. If you"re looking for the classic Strat quack, look no further. Love them!

I can"t say I have tried everything out there but I have tried many. These pickups are the best so far. I doubt very many will be disappointed with these gems. I"m very happy indeed.
If youre looking for a great pickup look no further
quick back story : I bought a 94 Fender 67 reissue Strat made at the Fuji Gen factory in Japan a few months ago...absolutely gorgeous guitar....perfect in every way except one....someone replaced the original pickups with pickups they claimed were "Hendrix" pickups......they were ok but a bit too edgy for what I envisioned this guitar should sound like....so I started researching....I… read more wanted clean...pretty....quacky...something that screamed Fender sound....I looked at all the companies....Fralin, Kinman, Duncan, Dimarzio, Van Zandt etc... I looked vintage, noiseless...listened, read reviews, watched vids on youtube and was seriously driving myself crazy.....its hard to find a pickup without really hearing them on your equipment through your axe ... and then I heard these.....and it was tough to choose between these, Fender 57/62 and their 69 pickups but something said take a chance on the Fat 50's and I am so glad I did.... want to talk about chime?...how about quack?.....wow....simply amazing tone out of these pickups...like the guitar gods said and this shall be the pickup that you seek.....just do yourself a favor....do the bridge pickup mod....its a one inch wire and makes all the difference in the world....I hardly have any hum from these pickups either....that surprises me a lot but also makes me very happy......Thanks to Randy for all his help and thank you Sweetwater for being the company you are!!! If your looking for balanced great sounding pickups check these out....I cant imagine you would be disappointed.
