D Activator Bridge Humbucker Pickup - F-spaced - Black Review

Good for everything from Classic rock to Metal

I've had these for a little over a year now and I play all kinds of music from Floyd, AC/DC, Rush, to Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, etc. I upgraded from the original pickups in my Ibanez RG guitar. BLOWN AWAY

I rarely do product reviews but here goes.. I've been using active pups almost as long as I've played guitar. I teach full time and routinely record and have an extensive live performance schedule. Upon entering the studio last summer I dropped a set of Dactivators in my USA Jackson King V because I wanted something a little different. As several guitars were used I just kept going… read more back to that guitar and I'm convinced it has ALOT to do with these pick ups! I played that guitar on 90% of the album for tracking rhythm guitars and another 75% for solos. It's high output but very dynamic. Cleans up nicely but SHREDS! I use both high gain tube amps and modeling rigs live and it response equally good. What became an experiment of sorts turned into 7 of 10 guitars now loaded with Dactivators. All of them in the bridge position and pared with the Air Norton in the neck position is just WICKED. Just try 'em!!

Sick AF

These PUPs are great. They were an upgrade from Duncan Designed Invader knock-offs in my Jackson Kelly. They cut through the mix and are great with pinch harmonics. Not that it matters, but aesthetically they look great especially in a guitar with chrome hardware.

Excellent Clear Powerful Pickup!!

I recently bought this pickup with the matched neck pickup to drop in my epiphone les paul. The bridge pickup is a perfect sound for what I was looking for. I primarily play metal so I wanted a high output passive pickup that has the good qualities of active pickups without the negatives...and I found it.
