Highly recommend this guitar which is outstanding value for the quality of this instrument and the price point. Plays much easier than my Rickenbacker 360 which is a semi hollow guitar. The perfect secret weapon

I'm not a "gear head" by any means, and I only have 3 electric guitars including this one, but there is something seriously special about the sound of this guitar. Heavenly Tone

It shipped fast and came in perfect condition! I really appreciate the in depth inspection and setup done by the techs at Sweetwater as well as James reaching out to let me know it shipped and what the ETA was. This thing's got that vintage jangle that only Danelectro lipstick pickups can provide. It's perfect for specific Zeppelin tones I've been trying to get…Obviously used… read more live on songs like Kashmir, White Summer/Black Mountainside but I think Page might've used it on the song Houses Of The Holy too. VOX Pathfinders with Altec Lansing speakers can get close to that tone with either single coil or split pickups but with these NOS+ lipstick pickups it nails the tone of the guitar dub you hear during the verses.

Love the Danelectro '59M NOS...

I love the Danelectro Demo '59M NOS+, Blk guitar I ordered from Sweetwater. Although it was a demo version, any wear and tear is negligible. Sweetwater did a great job of closeup photographing the actual guitar I would be purchasing, and with such attention to detail, I knew pretty much (on line) what I was getting. And what I got is a wonderful sounding, lightweight player… read more guitar. The lipstick pickups remind me of the sound I get from my Martin GPCPA5K electric/acoustic. Very sweet and nice natural sound. I love the fretboard, and attention to the fret dressing. It's all of six lbs. 5 oz. Forget all that "Jimmy Page played one" nonsense, and get hip to the number one best value in a quality built six-string player on the market (new or used). To my purchasing experience, Sweetwater has never disappointed.

The look and sound with modern reliability!

Ordered my 59 NOS+ not too long after they first arrived at Sweetwater. I've always loved the look and sound. Shipping was fast (of course). The guitar exceeded my expectations. I took it to rehearsal the day after if arrived. We play classic rock and blues. Through my Blackstar Artist 15, this guitar really delivered. The twang and cleans are exceptional! The lipstick pickups...even… read more being slightly"hotter than the originals...don't push an amp any harder than a vintage spec Strat, but a good OD pedal or increased gain on your amp (the Artist 15 does crunch at full gain, but nothing really heavy) will get you into classic, garage and hard rock. Pickups aren't as noisy as a Strat to my ears. The neck is comfortable, and I really kind of want one on every available color. Recommended!
