Fun to play - needs heavier strings
Not one of my best guitars, but at the price, I didn't really expect it to be. It is fun to play and fills a niche. It sounds MUCH better once I swapped the strings it shipped with for heavier ones (D'Addario EXL157 Baritone Medium Gauge; 14-68). The lighter gauge strings just sounded too thin and rattly, to my ear. I might try even heavier ones (and maybe flatwounds?), if I could… read more find 'em. It's also a pretty guitar (I think; my wife doesn't), which is cool.
Quality Low End
I wasn't sure what to expect when picking this guy up. I thought it'd be just like playing a normal guitar...but lower. I was wrong. This is quality. The vintage baritone really opened up my playing style and made me fall in love with playing the guitar all over again. Other good uses: if your bass player doesn't show up to the gig.
