So I decided it was time to grab a double-cut semi-hollow and I was looking at some other options,but after talking to my sales rep,Jake Trethaway,I decided to go with the D'angelico Premier Mini DC.I had been looking at a lot of review/demo videos about D'angelico guitars and have long admired them for their sound,as well as their art deco looks,but kind of thought of them as a… read more retirement gift to myself.But even though retirement didn't come early,the guitar did,Thanks to Jake and Sweetwater.The black flake is gorgeous,and the guitar plays,feels,sounds great.With my mustang GTX50,I can pull the tones I want out of it,no problem.Now I have a great semi-hollow for a fraction of what a Gibson 339 would have cost me.Having a blast! I started looking for a hollow or semihollow Body guitar during the pandemic. I wanted to keep the price under $1000 I started out ordering a guitar and found that it was on order from the manufacturer, but the manufacturer was having trouble getting the needed parts. This turned out to be the case with several manufacturers. This was no fault of Sweetwater. My Sales engineer… read more Ian McGee offered to do a search and find similar guitars in my price range. He recommended this model. I had never heard of the D'Angelica guitar line before, but a beautiful Black model was in stock so I decided to give it a try. I have had this guitar for over a month now and I love it. The sound it produces with the 2 humbuckers is very nice. Now concerning Ian my engineer for years...He set up my purchase at least 3 different times as I changed my mind due to the pandemic Ian never complained once. I appreciate his guidance in finding this killer guitar!!! Thumbs up Sweetwater!
