This will have everything you will need and more. It is very easy to use and sounds great. I've experimented with it in a couple different settings; guitar and different synths. It is very musical. Fun to get creative with. Highly recommend!

Great sound with incredible editing. MIDI control of anything

First of all the DD500 sounds great. I particularly like the SDE3000 mode and I have AB'd it against my real one and you can't tell the difference. That alone is worth the price of admission.

Best Delay I've ever used.

I've owned many Delay pedals over the years. Many of them Boss and some of them other Brands that where very good in their own right BUT this thing is a game changer for me. First and foremost it has to sound good, no matter what it can do if it doesn't sound incredible I'm all out. This pedal excels here. I'm very pascal to my Boss Waza analog Delay which is a standard I measure read more everything to and the DD-500 can recreate analog almost exactly as good as the Waza. It's so close it's scary. With the ability to creat patches, save them and then recall them VIA MIDI from my Boss ES-8 pedal switcher is a dream come true. I for example use one style of analog delay on my Rhythm path which uses the Gain from my amp and just the DD-500 in the loop of my amp. Then when I want to bust out into a Solo I just step on my Solo built patch on the ES-8 and it switches my amp to my Lead channel , switches the DD-500 to my Solos built lead delay which is a little richer then my Rhythm patch, still using the Analog delay VIA MIDI and the trails transfer over between the 2 settings seamlessly. What else can a player ask for? It's incredible. You'll probably never be able to fully use everything this pedal does as it seems endless on what it can do. But what's nice about that is go create all you want and the DD-500 will be there for you.

Awesome delay pedal!!

The Boss DD-500 delay pedal is one of the best on the market. Being an owner of the Boss MD-500 modulation pedal, I was aware of the endless possibilities via the parameter adjustments of the Boss 500 series, and was very familiar with the pedal layout, how to adjust parameters, and using the editor software on a computer. The numerous presets and parameters can be intimidating, read more but I developed a systematic way to find usable parameters and how to set them for what was needed personally, as well as how to put them in memory locations that were easy to access for my needs. Start with a spreadsheet with all the parameters listed by preset # and name, a column for personal rating (1-10) and one for comments. NOTE: Ver. 2 of firmware has uses banks 1 - 40 for factory presets, then repeats these presets in banks 41 - 80. Banks 81 - 99 are empty). Go thru all the preset banks 1 - 40 and fill in the spreadsheet. Making adjustments to presets while going thru them (without saving) can identify presets that you may like but are just not adjusted to your taste - note this as well. When done, write presets you like in the lower banks in an order that makes sense for your needs and saving your favorites to adjacent banks makes it much easier to find them when you need. *Also create columns in spreadsheet for your presets that show what is where so you can find them easily. The pedal presets can then be saved from the pedal via the editor software. Much more to learn and say about this great pedal, but best to just get one and start having fun!!

Well Done Delay

This delay is sweet. I feel it is overall easy to use. You can copy and paste stock patches which I feel reinforces the "ease of use" statement previously made. I like the ability to use 3 delays, 2 delay with a tap tempo or even the ability to stack 2 delays and use the tap tempo. I guess what I am saying is this pedal is pretty diverse. It also allows you to make noises that might read more be considered unmusical. Don't get me wrong, it is a very musical pedal. The DD 500 also allows you to adjust a large variety of parameters when dialing in a tone, which again has the potential to further reinforce my "pretty diverse" statement previously made. I would give this 4.5 stars because I like things more simple and to the point. However, it is not Boss's fault I like things simple so 5 stars!! Thanks to Sweetwater.
