Great noise gate, but cabling is a little bit of a challenge
This is a killer noise gate and it works extremely well. The separate guitar loop seems to really enhance the pedals ability to differentiate between true noise and signal, even with several overdrive pedals and a compressor in the loop. The only downside to this pedal is cabling. The 3/8" stereo to 1/4" mono splitter cable that is provided with the pedal with it's straight 3/8"… read more connector is too cumbersome to effectively use on a pedal board without having to devote too much real estate for clearance. I was able to work around this, however, by purchasing a 3/8" right angle stereo cable and a stereo to mono adapter from Amazon. The functioning of the pedal itself is flawless.
Does the job well
Recently purchased to tame the noise in my amp and pedals. Did the job very well with no tone loss. Highly recommend
Fabulous piece of geat
If you have any noise issues with your amp or pedal board this is the pedal for you. One knob ands it absoluely shuts out all hiss etc w/o affecting your sound or attack. A must for your rig.
The best noise gate on the market that nobody knows about...
Why is this the best? It has ISP's latest noise gate technology that not even their latest full size pedal the Decimator G String II even has, it has a very dynamic Threshold knob that does suck your tone at any point or your volume. It's extremely tiny, and to me, pedalboard real estate is a premium as I'm an avid pedalboard user. The TRS cable provided most definitely is of use… read more as this is how you use the pedal's onboard effects loop which offers way better noise suppression than running the pedal through the front of your amp straight to your guitar, not sure what the other reviewer is talking about. I HIGHLY advise reading the manual the pedal comes with, it'll make setting up your noise gate in your pedal chain much easier, and will work much better, I use the effects loops of this pedal for all my OD, Distortion, and Fuzz pedals, and all my other effects through the amp's effects loops, sounds fantastic, but that's just preference. I have not used a better noise gate than this, not any other ISP noise gate, not the Boss NS-2, nada, my only issue with this pedal is the jack for the TRS input is EXTREMELY FRAGILE, buyer beware, LOOK while inserting the tip, I broke my first Deci-Mate G with little effort this way. Cheers.
The DECI-MATE G Works Great
The pedal works beautifully at the end of my effects chain to silence all the noise that my overdrive pedals generate. And it can always be set at just the point where you get everything quiet without having to lose sustain. I also noticed that it can be set to about the same level for any of the guitars I plug in. It really does everything I hoped it would.
